Because I (not-so-secretly) love words, I subscribe to a Word of the Day from the Oxford English Dictionary.
Today’s was my virtual fortune cookie:
Over-busy: Excessively busy or occupied; interfering or obtrusively officious. Also (of a pattern, design, etc.): excessively
elaborate or detailed.
OK, I get it: today I broke a water glass by not watching where I was putting it down, spilled half of dinner into the stove while looking the other way, and secretly read email during a conference call.
Over-busy: time to take a breath, slow down, and pay attention!
What’s your word of the day today?

Before specializing as a professional coach in 2004, I spent more than a decade in leadership, management and program development for state and local government and non-profit organizations. Now I get to help leaders and teams have more clarity and ability to stand up for what's important in their work and in their organizations. Working with me, leaders and teams find more meaning and purpose, feel happier and more confident, navigate change and conflict, and work together better.
