I’m prone to thinking too much. You too?
I love looking at things from many different angles, possibilities, opportunities. It’s fun. My brain seems to always want to find the next life puzzle to work on.
I’m also prone to thinking that the hard way is the "best" way. While I’m all for putting up the good fight, I’m slowly coming to realize that sometimes the answer doesn’t always come from more thinking, analyzing or hard work.
Some of the most amazing things that have happened in my life – the real gifts in my life and in my work – have honestly happened when I was looking the other way. When I let go. When I let it be easy instead of hard.
My experience is that good results – in life, in work – can and often do come from hard work and good planning. But mostly our success in what we are trying to achieve – in the big picture of life as well as in the small picture – comes from having the attitude and intention of possibility.
It’s an old saw, but when we know what we want, we are much more likely to achieve it. Sometimes, simply knowing what our intended and desired outcome is, and letting go of the details of how it occurs, can move us further along our path than we expect.
Try out the easy route for a while, and see what you find out. You can always go back to hard!

Wow Hanna, it’s like this post was written directly to me. What confirmation for the thinking I’ve just begun to let take root in my mind. And I love your last line, how reassuring and true – I can always go back to hard.
Thanks!
